Paul Jeffrey Masterson

Paul Jeffrey Masterson, age 63, of Metter passed away Friday, September 6, 2024, Candler County Hospital.

Mr. Masterson was born in Louisville, Kentucky and was a son of John W. Masterson and Rita Guge Masterson.  He was a veteran of the United States Navy (1981-88), and was a retired Master Detective of the Prince William County Police Department (1988-2012), in Virginia.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Masterson was preceded in death by his brother Charles “Chuck” Masterson.

Surviving are his wife, Donna Masterson of Metter; his daughters Barbara Burdick of Louisville, KY, Amanda McLaurin (Gary) of Virginia Beach, VA, Elizabeth Jackson (Robert) of Kingsland, GA; his grandchildren Megan Burdick, Alyssa Burdick, Mara Ketchman, and Lucas McLaurin; five sisters, Joan McKim, Carol Hecker, Mary Henderson, Brenda DeVore, and Ann Kaelin; six brothers, John W. Masterson, Jr., James Masterson, Joseph Masterson, Patrick Masterson, Brian Masterson, and George Masterson; 28 nieces and nephews, and numerous great-nieces and nephews.

The memorial service will be held 11 o’clock in the morning on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel, 223 SW Broad Street, Metter, Georgia  30439.

The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 o’clock at the funeral home on Saturday.
