William "Bill" Vincent

William “Bill” Vincent, 70, of Metter and husband of the late, Linda Vincent, passed away Friday, January 8, 2021 at his residence.

He was born February 4, 1950 to Mattie Mae Huggins and Charlie Vincent and was one of fourteen siblings.  He was a member of Grace and Truth Church in Metter.  Mr. Vincent was a retired dump truck driver, having worked for the State of Georgia for over twenty years was presented the Faithful Service Award by the State.  Mr. Vincent loved running the roads and would drop everything to run to any of his family or friend’s beck and call. He enjoyed every day with his family, and he will be truly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mattie Mae Huggins and Charlie Vincent; a son, William Vincent Jr; and his wife, Linda Vincent.

Surviving are two sons, Ronnie Vincent and Donnie Vincent of Metter; a daughter, Joyce Carter of Chatham County; ten grandchildren; and one great grandchild;
and several brothers, sisiters, nieces and nephews (that he claimed as his own).

Graveside services will be held Sunday, January 10, 2021 at 2 o’clock in the afternoon in Lake Cemetery.
