William F. “Jo Jo” Purvis, Jr, 49, of Register, died early December 1, 2017 at his residence.
Born in Savannah, He was a son of William F. Purvis, Sr, and Lou Ellen Murray. Mr. Purvis was a Christian and lived in Register for several years. He was a production worker for Kerr Magee in Savannah. Mr. Purvis loved playing bingo, the Georgia Bulldogs, and loved to play pranks on people. He graduated from Sol C. Johnson High School in the early 1980’s.
Surviving are two sons, Matthew Taylor Purvis and Colin Daniel Purvis; a daughter, Kayla Brooke Purvis; his mother, Lou Ellen Murray; two sisters, Nancy Elizabeth Campbell and Terri Lynn McAlister; nieces and nephews, Tana Myers, Christopher Ryan Campbell, Timothy Allen McAlister, Brandi Lynn Gerganus; and three great-neices, Allyson Meyers, Madison Meyers, and Allison Gerganus.
A private family service will be held Monday December 4, 2017 at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel.
