Virginia Estelle Roper Woodcock

Virginia Estelle Roper Woodcock, of Portal, passed away Friday, January 19, 2024.

Virginia was born in Portsmouth, Virginia and was a daughter of Charles Roper and Mary Powell Roper.  She was of the catholic faith and lived most of her life in Portsmouth, Virginia before moving to Bulloch County over twenty years ago.  She loved animals and Elvis and loved spending time with her family.

Surviving are her son, Eddie Ferrer (Kathy Norris); her daughters, Sissy Carter (Mike Carter) and Leona Johnson; her grandchildren, Maria Ferrer, Stephanie Ferrer Berry, Jennifer Claes, Sheila Rushing (Benji Rushing), Michelle Carter, Pam Carter (Shannon Ethridge), April Carter, Dana Johnson (Jeff Beasley), Dustin Johnson (Savannah Johnson); and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and many friends from Brown’s Health and Rehabilitation in Statesboro, Georgia.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at 2 o’clock in the afternoon at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel, of Metter.

The family will receive friends from 1 o'clock until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
