Vincente Gonzalez, Jr. 68, of Metter and husband of Maria Gonzalez, died early Monday, January 1, 2018.
Born in Mercedes, Texas, he was a son of Vincente Gonzalez, Sr. and Concha Torres. Mr. Gonzalez was of the Catholic faith and worked for Sikes Farms before retiring several years ago. He had a heart for helping people, loved cruising around and playing the drums. Mr. Gonzalez loved to eat and spent his mornings at Jay’s and McDonalds with his friends. In addition to his parents, Mr. Gonzalez was preceded in death by his brothers, Juaquin Gonzalez and Balde Torres, and a sister Gloria Gonzalez.
Surviving are his wife, Maria Gonzalez; two sons and a daughter-in-law, David and Jessica Gonzalez and Jaime Gonzalez; three daughters and sons-in-law, Gloria and Martin Hernandez, Irma and Eddie Martinez and Paula and Arturo Rodriguez; three sisters, Mary Perez, Yolanda Ortega, and Dalia Delacerda; nineteen grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Thursday, January 4, 2018 from 5 until 7 p.m. at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel.
The funeral will be held 11 a.m. Friday, January 5, 2018 at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel.
Interment will follow in Lake Cemetery.
