Victor Thomas Patterson, 85, of Franklin, Tennessee died peacefully Monday morning, April 15, 2019.
Born in Metter, he was the middle son of Ethan Allen Patterson, Sr. and Myrtle Bowen Patterson. He was a member of the Metter Primitive Baptist Church and was an honor graduate of Metter High School. Mr. Patterson received his bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Georgia and while there was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. He served in the United States Navy for two years. Mr. Patterson studied in New York at the Parsons School of Design and pursued a career in the interior design and antique industry. Over the years, Mr. Patterson worked for several companies in the interior design and the antique business having worked in Savannah, Georgia, Raleigh, North Carolina, and Nashville, Tennessee. He spent the majority of his career working for Bradford’s in Nashville and while there he was hired to decorate the Governor’s Mansion as well as the homes of several country music artists. He had a passion for collecting antique furniture and oriental rugs. In addition to his parents, Mr. Patterson was preceded in death by a brother, Ethan Allen Patterson, Jr.
Surviving are his brother, Bill E. Patterson, Sr. and his wife, Parke; his nephews, Billy E. Patterson, Jr. and his wife, Sherri; Bowen Miles Patterson and his wife, Dawn; great nieces and nephews, Lauren Olivia Patterson, Bowen Miles Patterson, Jr. and his wife, Katie, Blake Lane Patterson, Brent Eugene Patterson and his fiancée, Skyler, and Carli Victoria Patterson; and his great-great nephew and nieces, Bowen Miles Patterson, III, Ava Ussery, and Zoey Patterson.
The Service will be held Friday, April 19, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel.
