Troy Edwin Canady, 55, of Metter and formerly of Savannah died Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at his residence in Metter.
Born in Savannah, he was a son of Jake and Peggy Canady. Troy was a Methodist and lived in Metter for over twenty-five years. He graduated from Sol C. Johnson High School in Savannah in 1980 and was known for his Trans Am and hair. Troy was the owner of Canady’s Appliance in Metter, was a devoted member of the Metter Volunteer Fire Department for many years and loved building models. He also loved loud music and was an Elvis fan.
Surviving are his daughters, Brittany Lynn Canady of Savannah and Katelyn Elizabeth Canady of Atlanta; his brothers, Todd Canady (Alethia) of Savannah and Tray Canady of Metter; a grandchild, Juniper Foxlyn McDermitt; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held later.
Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
