Tracy Lane Thompson of Portal and husband of Lisa Thompson, died Friday, April 21, 2017 at his residence.
Born in Atlanta, he was a son of Barbara and Tommy Thompson. Mr. Thompson was an Auto Imports Specialist and a Master Technician. He loved working on all types of electronics and machinery. Mr. Thompson enjoyed working on his special projects which included his Toyota MR2 and his Jeep. He loved spending time with his family, including his cat, Reese, and will be remembered for his humor and whit.
Surviving are his wife, Lisa Thompson of Portal; his parents, Tommy and Barbara Thompson of Portal; his son, Kyle Blakely Collins of Brewton, Alabama; two brothers, Thomas Lee Thompson of Portal and Terrell Lyle Thompson of Miami, Florida; a brother-in-law, Robbie Robbins of Portal; a sister-in-law, Dawn Sweatt of Mobile Alabama; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 2 o’clock in the afternoon at New Life Baptist Church in Metter with Rev. Bill Vansant officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 until the funeral hour.
