Thomas Dempsey Jeffcoat, 62, of Bloomingdale passed away peacefully on Friday, January, 16, 2015, at his home after a long illness. He was preceded in death by his father, John Dempsey Jeffcoat.
Dempsey was born in Metter, Georgia and raised in Savannah. At the age of 17, he joined the United States Army. During his time in the Army, he served a tour in Viet Nam. He was of the Baptist faith. Dempsey was all about family and friends and was loved by all who knew him.
He is survived by his mother, Robbie Riner Jeffcoat of Savannah; three brothers, John Danny Jeffcoat (Deidra) of Savannah, Donald Jeffcoat of Garden City, Ricky Dale Jeffcoat (Laura) of Savannah; two sisters, Gloria (Tim) of Savannah and Debra Jones (William) of Cobbtown; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Crematory, 2794 W. Highway 80, Garden City, Georgia. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, January 21, 2015 in the chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will be in Lake Cemetery in Metter with Military Honors observed.
