Terry Ellis "Tab" Hadden, 59, of Metter died Monday, December 16, 2013, at Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro. A Candler County native and lifelong resident, he was a 1972 Metter High School graduate. Tab retired as an insulator for Local 96 of Pooler after almost 30 years. Later, he worked as a supervisor for Williams Plant Services. Dedicated in life to his children, he was a loving husband and father who enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and carpentry. He attended the Metter Church of God and was preceded in death by his father, Claude Ellis Hadden.

Survivors are his wife of 38 years, Lesia Purvis Hadden; a son, Jessie Hadden of Metter; a daughter, Jodi Hadden of Athens; his mother, Dorothy C. Hadden of Metter; a brother, Gary Hadden of Metter; three sisters, Diane H. Monroe of Metter, Pam H. (Bobby) Cowart of Reidsville and Christy H. Schuman of Metter; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, 11:00 AM, at the Metter Church of God with Rev. Alan Kea officiating. Burial will be in the Lake Cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Visitation will be Wednesday, 5:30-8:00 pm, at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel. Pallbearers will be Scott Steele, Jason Hadden, Matt Purvis, Austin Purvis, Cayne Monroe and Dale Fordham.
