Shirley Jean Morris

Shirley Jean Morris, 81, of Brooklet, died Sunday August 15, 2021, at Brown’s Nursing Home in Statesboro, Ga.

Mrs. Morris was born in Lyons, Georgia and lived most of her life in Brooklet, Georgia.  She earned her associates degree from Savannah Technical College.  Mrs. Morris was an Educator specializing in the field of Special Education.She is preceded in death by her son, Gary H Morris.

Surviving are her grandchildren, Denise Deal, Daniel James Lynn, Dalton Allen Lynn, Damon Caines and Matt Morris; eight great grandchildren; her sister, Faye Jordan of Orlando, Florida; her dear friend, Peggy Bath; her daughter-in-law, Patty Morris; and several nieces and nephews.

The graveside service will be held Saturday, September 4, 2021, at 11 a.m. in Lanes Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Leefield, Ga.
