Sharon Franks Smith

Sharon Franks Smith, 52, of Portal and wife of Harold Eugene Smith died early Sunday, January 20, 2019.

Born in Okeechobee, Florida, she was a daughter of Dennis and Helen Franks.  Mrs. Smith was of the Pentecostal faith and was a homemaker and retired barber.  Sharon loved music and for many years sang in a band.  Sharon was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Grant Franks Moore.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Smith was survived by her daughters, Sylvia Moore Rosselle (Shaun) of Metter and Andrea Smith (Chris); her sons, Sonny Smith (Candy Browning) of Lakeland, Georgia and Danny Lamb of Okeechobee, Florida; her father Dennis Franks of Wauchula, Florida; sister, Tina Moore of Metter; three brothers, David Franks, Mark Franks, and Aaron Franks all of Wauchula, Florida; three grandchildren, Lorilei Moore, Christian Rosselle, and Lemmie Rosselle; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held 2 o’clock in the afternoon, Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel.

Visitation will be held from 1 until 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Thursday at the funeral home.

Interment will be private.
