Sarah "Nadeline" Edenfield

Sarah “Nadeline” Edenfield, 97, of Metter, passed away Monday morning on May 15, 2023, at her home.

Born in Emanuel County, Ms. Nadeline was a daughter of Claude and Maxie Edenfield. She was a 1942 graduate of Metter High School. Ms. Edenfield worked for many years as an accountant for the Civil Service at Fort Stewart. She was a member of the Metter First Baptist Church and was a strong woman of faith. She has resided in Metter for most of her life and has made many close friends in her community. She enjoyed spending her free time watching television, especially CNN and TBN. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Claude Edenfield Jr.

Surviving are her very close friend and caretaker, Susan Youmans; many close friends and neighbors; and several cousins.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at 10 o’clock in the morning, at New Hope Church Cemetery in Nunez, Georgia.

Pallbearers will be Greg Stewart, Baxter Funderburke, Will Funderburke, John Jones Jr., Grady Franklin, and Ben Franklin.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Metter First Baptist Church.

Kennedy Funeral Homes, Metter Chapel, of Metter is in charge of the arrangements.
