.Sara Elizabeth Gay Richardson, 90, widow of Harry Richardson, died early Friday morning, March 18, 2016 at her residence. Mrs. Richardson was born in Garfield, Georgia to the late Emory and Essie Gay. She was a member of the Hebron Primitive Baptist Church. Mrs. Richardson worked as a bookkeeper and office manager for many years for a printing company in Atlanta before moving back to the area thirty years ago. Upon returning, Mrs. Richardson worked for Atkinson Pecan Company in Garfield as a bookkeeper. She enjoyed being a housewife and was dearly loved by her family.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Jack Webb and two brothers, John R. Gay and Robert S. Gay and one sister, Margaret BoBo.
Surviving are her daughter, Linda Webb of Twin City; two sons and daughters-in-law, Harry Gay "Buck" and Marian Richardson of Georgetown, Texas and Charles Davis and Sharon Richardson of Twin City; four grandchildren, Maggie Elizabeth Webb Hadden, and husband, Ryan, Jill Ann Webb Carter and husband, Jordy, Christopher Ross Richardson, and Matthew Davis Richardson; six great-grandchildren, Sara Kate Carter, Reese Hadden, Jack Brinson Carter, Sydney Elizabeth Hadden, Jordan Carter, and Riggs Hadden.
Visitation will be from 9:30 until 10:30 am, Monday morning, March 21, 2016 at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel. The Graveside Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 21, 2016 at Hebron Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Garfield.
Pallbearers will be Jordy Carter, Ryan Hadden, Taylor Webb, Jeb Webb, Reese Hadden, and Jack Brinson Carter. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jordan Carter and Riggs Hadden.
