Ruby Grace Lariscey Sikes, wife of Carl Sikes, passed away early Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Azalea Health and Rehabilitation in Metter.
Born in Toombs County, she was the daughter of Rube and MaryLou Lariscey. Mrs. Sikes was a member of Metter Free Will Baptist Church, having attended there for over forty years. She worked as a secretary for Ernest Franklin and later Danny Oliff and retired in 1986. Mrs. Sikes loved to read, loved music and dancing, playing basketball, cutting grass, and most of all, shopping. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lewis Bragdon and her sister, Melrose Williams.
In addition to her husband Carl, Mrs. Sikes is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Mike Hardiman of Metter and Melanie and Tim Mosley of Aline; a son, Bubba Bragdon of Metter; a step-daughter and step-son-in-law, Diane and Steve Falta of Peabody, Massachussettes and a sister, Juanita Parker of Augusta; grandchildren, Carlos Aviles, Miguel Aviles, Jamee Hardiman Collins, Jim Hardiman, Megan Mosley Deal, Eric Bragdon, Tracy Bragdon, Tim Bragdon, Tiffany Bragdon, Cory Bragdon, and Tia Bragdon; twenty great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The Funeral will be held Friday at 11 o’clock in the chapel of Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in Lake Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Carlos Aviles, Miguel Aviles, Jim Hardiman, Tim Bragdon, Cory Bragdon, and Cohen Deal.
