Roy Johnson

Roy Lane Johnson, 66, passed away June 7, 2021 at Braselton Hospital. He was the son of Franklin and Carolyn Hensley Johnson.  He was a graduate of Metter High School and worked as an electrician until he retired.  Mr. Johnson enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading and loved to play the drums.  He was of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Linda Hickman.

Surviving is his wife, Deborah Johnson; sons, David Johnson (Krista), Joey Ellis (Debbie); daughter, April Martin; his grandchildren, Ashlyn Johnson, Jordan (Katelin) Johnson, Alex Ellis, Mason Butler, Summer Butler and Tommy Butler; one great-grandchild, Jovi Lane Johnson; brother, Larry Johnson (Ann).

The visitation will be held Thursday, June 10, 2021, from 6 unitl 8 o'clock in the evening at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel.

The funeral service will be Friday, June 11, 2021, at 11 o’clock in the morning at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel, with Joseph Akins officiating.

Interment will be in Sunlight Cemetery.

Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel of Cobbtown will be in charge of the arrangements
