Mr. Ronald “Lil Ron” Wayne Morris, III, 35, of Metter, passed away early Saturday morning, August 20, 2022.
Ron was born in Statesboro and grew up and lived in Metter all of his life. He attended Open Door Worship Center and was a self-employed contractor. Ron had a love for music and enjoyed playing his guitar and singing. Lil Ron had a heart of gold and would help anyone in need. He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Wayne Morris, Jr.; his maternal grandparents, George and Vickey Kersey; his paternal grandfather, Ronald Wayne Morris, Sr.; his aunt, Michelle Gambrell, and his cousin, Logan Durden.
Surviving are his two sons, Ronald “Jordan” Bryant Morris and Ronald Wayne “Rusty” Morris, IV both of Statesboro; the mother of his two sons and close friend, Sassy Hart of Statesboro his mother, Cheri Morris of Garfield; his paternal grandmother, Janice Morris of Metter; his brothers, Cody Kersey of Garfield, Stewart Eunice (Sammy) of Evansville, Indiana, and Kevin Googe of Cobbtown; his sisters, Taylor Morris of Metter, Riley Morris and Bailey Morris both of Millen and Kacy Googe of Metter; two aunts, Michelle Coursey (Shane) of Metter and Lila Durden (Brock) of Metter; his great-uncle, Mark Kersey of Cocoa Beach, Florida; his step-mother, Tabatha Morris of Metter and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 o'clock in the evening on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel, of Metter.
The funeral will held 2 o'clock in the afternoon on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel, of Metter.
Interment will be in Lake Cemetery.
