Romaine Joseph "Andy" Andries, 72, of Metter died Sunday, November 23, 2014, at Candler County Hospital. Born in Massachusetts, he moved to Metter in 2003 from Pennsylvania. Andy was a veteran of the United States Navy. He had worked at Wallace as an ink technician and was now a recycling attendant for Candler County Recycling. Andy was a member of the Metter Primitive Baptist Church and an avid golfer at Willow Lake Country Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Catherine and Romaine Joseph Andries, Sr.
Survivors are his wife, Patty B. Andries of Metter; a daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Lee McLain of Jonesville, MI; a sister, Diane Andries and a nephew, Danny Andries both of Chino, CA; two granddaughters, Sarah Kelsey and Rachael Vydash; two great grandsons, Carson and Noah Vydash.
A memorial service will be held Friday, 2:00 pm, November 28, 2014 at the Metter Primitive Baptist Church. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the service. Guest book: www.kennedyfuneralhomes.com.
