Roger Louis Green

Roger Louis Green, 70, of Metter, Georgia, departed this world on March 20, 2022.   He is preceded in death by his parents, Marjorie Henley Green and Noah Jefferson Green and his sister, Phyllis Green Harpe.

As a youth, Louis attended and was baptized at Southside Baptist Church in Savannah.  He graduated from Herschel V. Jenkins High School in 1969.  Louis  was an avid reader and especially enjoyed military history.   He always enjoyed a good, lively conversation with his friends.   He was loved and will be missed.

Surviving are brothers; Dennis J. Green (Betsy) of Greensboro NC and Mark Patrick Green, Sr. (Rene) of Baxley, Georgia and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  Louis was born in Charlotte, NC, but lived the majority of his life in Savannah, Georgia.

A graveside service of remembrance and committal will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at Hillcrest Abbey East Cemetery, 1600 Wheaton Street, Savannah.
