Robert "Bobby" Paul McNeely, 71, of Metter died Thursday, May 16, 2013, at Community Hospice in Vidalia. Born in Cordele, he was the son of Emory McNeely and Juanita Collins McNeely Odom. He moved to Metter in 2002 from Ft. Lauderdale, FL where he was a retired mechanic at a car dealership. He served in the National Guard Reserves and attended Cedar St. Baptist Church.
Survivors are his companion, Wilma Noble of Metter; three sons, Frank McNeely of Cleveland, TN, James McNeely of Metter and Rusty McNeely of Cleveland, TN; a daughter, Belinda Chapman of Cleveland, TN; a brother, Elroy Odom of Vidalia; two sisters, Lucille Farris of Twin City, Edna Fitch of Reidsville; four grandchildren, Crystal, Jada, Emily and Zachary; and two great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 11: 00 AM, Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel with Rev. Richard Lowary officiating. Cremain burial will be at Cool Springs Cemetery. Please sign guest book at www.kennedyfuneralhomechapels.com.
