.Robbie Nell Riner Jeffcoat, 80, died Sunday, June 21, 2015, at her home in Savannah. She was the daughter of the late Matthew Thomas and Bessie Nobles Riner. Robbie returned to Savannah in 2010 after retiring to Metter with her husband several years earlier. One of nine children, they were raised working in the fields on the farm. Robbie was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Jeffcoat; a son, Thomas Dempsey Jeffcoat; brothers, Kenneth and Wade Riner; sisters, Jackie NeSmith and Wanda Mills.
Survivors are three sons, Danny (Deidra) Jeffcoat of Wilmington Island, Donald Jeffcoat of Garden City and Ricky (Laura) Jeffcoat of Savannah; two daughters, Debra (William) Jones of Cobbtown and Gloria (Tim) Jones of Savannah; a brother, Franklin (Susan) Riner of Brunswick; three sisters, Johnnie Will Moon of Savannah, Peggy (Donald) Smith of Brunswick and Gail (Gary) Hatch of Jesup; twelve grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 3:00 pm, at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel, with Rev. Leonard Daughtry officiating. Burial will be in the Lake Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm until the funeral hour. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Matt Jeffcoat, Austin Jeffcoat, Ricky Jeffcoat, Jr., Tim Jones, Jr., Logan Lanier and Daniel Stafford.
