Randall Lee Jarrell

Randall Lee Jarrell of Metter passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at his residence.

Randall was born in Perry, Georgia and was the son of Raiford E. Jarrell and Zona Lee Jarrell and moved to Metter when he was in the 5th grade with his family.  He attended Pine Grove Baptist Church and worked at BI-LO in Metter until his retirement several years ago.  He was affectionately known to many as “Popa Randall”.  In years past, Randall enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He loved his work and especially loved his family.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jansin Elise Jarrell.

Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Garrett and Sharon Jarrell of Metter; two brothers, Gary Jarrell (Bonnie) from Metter and Raiford Jarrell (Bill Crosby) from Walterboro, South Carolina; the mother of his children, Wanda Finnerty of Metter; two grandchildren, Keagan Jarrell Holloway (Michael) and KylieAnn   Jarrell (Blake) all of Metter; two great-grandchildren, Olivia and Brinson Holloway; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held 11 o’clock in morning on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel, of Metter.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o’clock in the evening on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel, of Metter.

Interment will follow the service in Lake Cemetery.
