Peggy Joyce Nail, 89, of Cobbtown and widow of Clifford Nail, went to be with the lord Saturday, November 21, 2020 at her residence under the care of hospice.
Born in Lakeland. Florida, she was a daughter of Harry and Ocileta Padgett. Mrs. Nail met her husband Clifford and were married in 1949 and lived in the Tampa area for many years before moving to Cobbtown in 2006. She was a homemaker and a member of Cobbtown Baptist Church. Mrs. Nail loved cooking, enjoyed traveling, and enjoyed a little wine from time to time. She loved her grandchildren and her nieces and nephews and was known to many in the Cobbtown area affectionately as Aunt Joyce. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Padgett, and two sisters, Margie Taggart and Shirley Thomas.
Surviving are her sons and a daughter-in-law, Raymond Wayne and Debra C. Nail of Cobbtown and David Allan Nail of Tampa, Florida; five grandchildren, Wayne, Danny, Christine, Katheryn, Rebekah; twelve great grandchildren, Jacob, Lucas, Abigail, Elisabeth, Emma, Aaron, Remi, Raleigh, Larkyn, Scout, Wilder, and Fisher; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 24., 2020 at 2 o’clock in the afternoon at Cobbtown First Baptist Church.
All social distancing and Covid 19 guidelines will be in place.
The family will receive friends from 1 o’clock until the funeral hour at the church on Tuesday.
Remembrances may be made to Community Hospice
Interment will be in Sunlight Cemetery.
Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel, of Cobbtown is in charge of the arrangements.
