Navis "Babe" Oliver

Navis Victoria "Babe" Rudd Oliver, 95, of Collins died Sunday, June 22, 2014, at Community Hospice in Vidalia. Born in Ohoopee, Georgia, she was the last living child of ten children born to Albert H. and Navis V. Sapp Rudd. She had lived most of her life in Collins and was a homemaker and a member of the Rogers Baptist Church. Babe was a very witty person who loved her family and friends, enjoying life and laughter. Everyone who knew her loved her and never left her house hungry! Her grandchildren were her heart and soul. She was preceded in death by her husband, O.B. Oliver.
Survivors are a son and daughter-in-law, Robbie and Betty Ann Oliver of Collins; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Bobby Spivey of Pooler; four grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 11:00 am, at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel, with Rev. Gerald Dorr officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, 6-8 pm, at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Jarrell, Harry Oliver, Barrien Donaldson, Gary Kennedy, Robert Shuman and Andy Lewis. Burial will be private.
