Mickey Usry

Mickey Littleton Usry, 67, passed away June 2, 2021 at his residence.

Mickey was a son of Joe and Polly Nesmith Usry and was a Navy Veteran.  He spent his entire career to honor and serve our country in the United States Navy and was a member of the American Legion Post 400 in Metter.  He collected guns, model airplanes and model trains.  Mickey was of the Baptist faith.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Joe Usry.

Surviving are his daughters; Kimberly Melton (Donnie) of Effingham, Elizabeth Stewart (Charles) of Metter; sons, Mickey Littleton Usry, Jr. (Allen), Darrell Wayne Usry of Statesboro; seven grandchildren; and his brothers; Larry Usry and Frank Usry; his sisters, Dot Barron, Linda Mongold, and Betty Strub.

The funeral service will be held at 9 o’clock in the morning, Saturday, June 5, 2021, at Kennedy Funeral Home, Hooks Chapel, of Metter.

Interment will be held Monday, June 7, 2021 at 10 o’clock in the morning in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville.
