Michael E. "Mike" Lamb

Michael E. “Mike” Lamb, 67, of Douglas and formerly of Metter, passed away late Friday, January 15, 2021 at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas.

Mike was the son of Emmitt and Martha Jones Lamb.  He was born in Swainsboro and lived in Metter for many years before moving to Douglas, Georgia several years ago.  Mike was a truck driver for Wal-Mart and just received his blue truck which signifies three million safe miles driven with the company.  He attended Metter Church of God while he lived in Metter.  Mike loved his work, loved to fish, and he loved his Prevost Tour Bus.

Surviving are his two sons and daughters-in-law, Travis and Mary Lamb of Statesboro and Phillip and Keri Lamb of Gainesville, Georgia; grandchildren, Parker Lamb, Riley Lamb, Carter Lamb, and Tyler Lamb; and a great-granddaughter, Vivianne Lamb.

The graveside service will be held 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 in Sardis Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Elder Mike Newman officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery on Tuesday.
