Maude M. Willingham, 89, died Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Jacksonville Nursing and Rehab in Jacksonville, FL. A native of Metter, she was one of 16 children of John Benjamin and Minnie Berry Miles. She moved to Macon working at the U.S. Naval Plant during World War II and later settled in Jacksonville in 1959. There she retired as a cashier and was a member of Lake Forest Baptist Church. She loved her God, her family and her little dog, Pixie. She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Willingham, Sr., a son-in-law, Dan Colfry and a grandson, Officer Russell Mark Willingham, Jr.
Survivors are five daughters, Jessie (James) Williams of Jacksonville, Brenda Colfry of Jacksonville, Louise (Harry) Collins of Ft. White, FL, Marie (Keith) Moore and Peggy (Al) Shemetulskis both of Jacksonville; two sons, Russell (Karen) Willingham of Greensboro and Grady (Elizabeth) Willingham of Orange, TX; a daughter-in-law, Mary Willingham of Jacksonville; sisters, Irma Hendrix of Claxton and Pauline Yarber of Glennville; 22 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, 11:00 AM, at the Pine Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Blake Hicks and Rev. Andy Miles officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Andy Williams, Barry Moore, Neil Moore and Tyler Fanning. Please sign guest book at www.kennedyfuneralhomechapels.com.
