Mary Beth Walls

Mary Beth Walls, age 68, of Cobbtown, GA, passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at Candler County Hospital in Metter.

Born February 11, 1954, in St. Paul, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Gordon and Viola Peterson. Mary began her life in Minnesota but has resided in Cobbtown for the past 35 years.  Mary spent her life as a homemaker and “family supervisor.” She adored her family and loved spending time with them. She had a heart to serve others and made many donations to the Children’s Heart Association, the Wounded Warriors Project, and her community that she loved greatly. Mary was one of a kind, and to know her was to love her. She was a member of Rock Worship Center in Stillmore, Ga. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Franklin Walls, and her son, Franklin Preston Walls.

Surviving are her children, Tina (Jason) Aldrich and David (Linda) Walls, Melissa Burnsed, April (Scott) Bragg, Lonnie Franklin Walls, Jr., Roy Allen Walls, and Daniel Darrien, whom she loved like a son; her brother, Tom (Joan) Peterson; her sister, Cathy (Gary) Wegleitner; 22 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Saturday, November 19, 2022, from 5 until 7 o’clock in the evening at the Rock Worship Center, of Stillmore, Ga.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, November 20, 2022, at 3 o’clock in the afternoon at the Rock Worship Center, of Stillmore, Ga.

Interment will be at Lake Cemetery.
