Mary Lynn Cobb, 92, of Collins died late Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at the Griffin House in Claxton.
Born in Tattnall County, she was a daughter of James Potter Lynn and Lydia Adaline Oliver Lynn. Mrs. Cobb was a retired seamstress and a homemaker. She lived in Savannah for more than twenty years before moving back to the Collins area in 1966. She considered Cedar Creek Primitive Baptist Church to be her home. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Cobb and her son, James H. (J.H.) Cobb.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Lizzie Ellen “Yetter” and Ben Rodriquez of Ellabell and Wanda Faye and Calvin Shuman of Hillview Community; a daughter-in-law, Paula Cobb of Glenville; two sisters, Marie Mulling (her twin) of Collins and Lucille Poole of Austell; grandchildren, Stephanie Cox-Faust, Daniel Michael Cox, Jr., Lewis Cobb, Calvin Cobb, Brian Shuman, and Steven Shuman; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The Funeral will be held Friday, December 22, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel. Visitation will be held from 10 until 11 a.m. at the funeral home on Friday.
Interment will be in Sunlight Cemetery.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
