Maria Garcia Quintana

Maria Garcia Quintana, of Metter, passed died Monday, September 6, 2021 at Candler County Hospital in Metter.

Maria was born in Alice, Texas and was a daughter of  the late Ramon Garcia and the late Maria Fuentes Garcia.  She was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant and was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Metter. In addition to her parents, Maria was preceded in death by a grandson, Harry Parra, Jr.  Maria was the kind loving person and would do anything to help others before herself.  She loved singing and dancing and also spending time with her family.  She will be greatly missed.

Surviving are her husband, Lorenzo Avila Quintana of Metter; her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and Jose Maldonaldo of Glennville; two sons, Joe Parra of Alice, Texas and Harry Parry, Sr. of Metter; eleven grandchildren: one great-grandchild; her sister, Rosa Garcia of Alice, Texas; her brother,  Juan Garcia of Alice, Texas; her sister, Martina Lopez of Metter, Georgia; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6 until 8 o’clock in the evening at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel, of Metter.

The Funeral service will be held 2 o’clock in the afternoon, Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel, of Metter.
