Maria Lopez-Antonio

Maria Asuncion Lopez-Antonio, 46, passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2022 in Augusta, Ga.

She was the daughter of Luis and Filomena Lopez.  In 2001, Maria moved to the United States. She loved to work and has worked at different area farms depending on the season.  She loved to dance, sew and going out on the weekends to spend time with her family and friends.  She is preceded in death by her father.

Surviving are her husband, Jose Escamilla ; her sons, Juan Daniel Escamilla Lopez, Angel Escamilla and Jose Escamilla, Jr.; her mother, Filomena Antonio Lopez; brother, Julio Lopez and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, January 24, 2022 from 6-8 p.m. at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel.

The funeral will be Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at 3 p.m. at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel.

Burial will be at a later date in Mexico.
