Margaret Anderson Green

Margaret Anderson Green, 92, of Cobbtown, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at Azalea Health and Rehabilitation. She was the widow of Talmadge Green.

Born in Collins, Georgia, on April 18, 1932, Margaret was the daughter of the late Ottis Anderson and Vesta Oliver Anderson. She was a devoted member of the Full Gospel Assembly of God in Collins and a loving homemaker. Margaret had a passion for gardening, sewing, crocheting, and fishing. She also cherished time spent with her family and found great joy in listening to gospel music.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Martha Green Meeks; sons-in-law, Buddy Meeks and Donald See, sisters Myrtle Maulk, Mildred Sikes, Francis Bradley, Jean Rewis and brothers Calvin Anderson, Ottis “Pop” Anderson Jr.

Margaret is survived by her daughters, Sylvia Green See of Collins and Melanie Green Walker (Johnny James) of Reidsville ; her sons, Greg Green (Denise) and Derald Green (Lynn), all of Cobbtown.  Brother Steve Anderson of Collins and sister-in-law Cherylene Anderson of Glennville.  Grandchildren Donna Lynn (Richard), Jason See (Mandy), Devin See, Wesley Meeks, Brandon Meeks (Joy), Treasure Meeks all of Collins; April Phillips (Troy) of Adrian, Cody Green, and Kinsley Green of Cobbtown; as well as numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Sunlight Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include Jason See, Wesley Meeks, Brandon Meeks, Richard Lynn, Troy Phillips, and Tegan Phillips.
