Louise Rooks Sutton

Louise Rooks Sutton, 94, formerly of Lowndes County, died Sunday, August 25, 2019 in Sacramento, California.

Born in Candler County, she was a daughter of John Marshall Rooks and Pheriba Brown Rooks.  Mrs. Sutton was a retired clerk and was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents and siblings, Mrs. Sutton was preceded in death by a son, Harold Sutton.

Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Marsha Lynn and Craig Smith of Sacramento, California; daughter-in-law, Sharon Shelton; five grandchildren, T.J., Nancy, Billy, Heather, and Samantha; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

The funeral will be held at the graveside in Rosemary Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery on Sunday, September 1, 2019 at 3 o’clock in the afternoon.  The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:30 at the funeral home on Sunday.
