Louise Brumlow Bishop, 89, of Metter and wife of Hugh Cleveland Bishop, died early Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at her residence.
Born in Ray City, Georgia, she was the daughter of William and Lois Brumlow. Mrs. Bishop was of the Baptist faith and was a retired school teacher having taught in the Toombs County and Gwinnett County School Systems for over thirty years. She loved playing the piano, making jewelry as well as oil painting and reading.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Donna Marie Bishop Buckles and her husband, Joe of Metter; her sons, Hugh Cleveland Bishop, Jr. and his wife, Valeri, of Cumming, Michael Allen Bishop, and his wife, Palin of Cerrillas, New Mexico, and John Thomas Bishop, and his wife, Sandy of Boise, Idaho; a sister, Marie Brumlow Davidson and her husband, Dean; a brother, Bill Brumlow; seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
A memorial service for Louise will be conducted Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 2:00pm at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel. The family will greet and visit with friends one hour prior to the service.
