Linda Williams Dickerson

Linda Williams Dickerson, of Port Wentworth, and widow of Julius Radford Dickerson, died Monday, October 3, 2022, at her home.

Linda was born in Metter, Georgia and was a 1968 graduate of Metter High School. Over the span of her working career, Linda was a Truck Driver, Diesel Mechanic, Truck Terminal Manager, and Safety Director.  She enjoyed singing, cooking and going to church.  Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Julius “Jr” Dickerson; a son, Steven Dickerson; her sister, Lisa Marie Brown; her birth father, William C. Williams; and her parents, AJ and Mildred Brown.

Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Josh Peterson; two grandchildren, Caroline Taylor Marie Peterson and Joshua Ben Peterson, Jr.; her sister, Michelle Henry; and a brother, Charles Brown.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 5, 2022, from 6 until 8 o’clock in the evening at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel, of Metter.

The funeral will be held Thursday, October 6, 2022, at 2 o’clock in the afternoon at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel, of Metter.

Interment will be in Lake Cemetery.
