Leona Tucker Sutton

Leona Tucker Sutton, 97, died Saturday, April 19, 2014, at Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Sarasota, FL. Born in 1916 in Candler County, she was the daughter of Joe Tucker, Sr. and Ida Frances DeLoach Tucker.

Mrs. Sutton had lived most of her life in Florida and was of the Baptist faith. She was a homemaker, a loving mother and grandmother and was an awesome cook. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Vernice S. Sutton.

Survivors are two sons, Walter Lamon Sutton of Sarasota, Florida and Terry (Julie) Sutton of Oxford, Michigan; four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
