Leisa Smith, 60, of Collins, died early Tuesday morning, May 2, 2023, at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital in Vidalia.
Born in Metter she was a daughter of William Harold Lynn and Sue Nell Powell Lynn. Leisa grew up and lived in Collins and she was of the Baptist Faith. Leisa received her masters’ degree in cosmetology from Swainsboro Technical College. She was a master cosmetologist and in later years worked as a caregiver for those in need. She enjoyed gardening. In addition to her parents, Leisa was preceded in death by her brothers, James, Billy, Stevie, and Charles Lynn and her sister, Wanda Lynn Sanders.
Surviving are her daughters, Tara (Brandon) Hayes of Lula, Georgia, Lindsey Smith of Reidsville, and Chelsea (Shane) Barnard of Collins; her son, Tyler Smith of Collins; her brother, Clyde (Karen) Lynn of Collins; and a sister, Dianne (George) Holland of Cobbtown; grandchildren Zoey, Noah, Emmi, Brayden, Mina, and Braylee; several nieces and nephews and her cat, Andy.
Visitation will be held from 1:30 until 2:30pm on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel, in Cobbtown
The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel, in Cobbtown.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Guthrie, Caleb Guthrie, Sean Lynn, Travis Lynn, Ben Wilbourne and John Jarriel.
Interment will be in Collins Baptist Church Cemetery.
Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel, of Cobbtown is in charge of the arrangements.
