Lauvonne Boyette Jarriel, 86, of Collins died Sunday, January 29, 2017, at Oxley Park Health and Rehabilitation. Born in Collins and a lifelong resident, she was the daughter of Elton and Nannie Lou Brown Boyette. Her temporary home for the past three years has been Oxley Park in Lyons. Lauvonne was a homemaker and bookkeeper for her sons farming business for 25 years. She was a member of the Collins United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Byron Jarriel and a sister, Delores B. Jarriel.
Survivors are a daughter and son-in-law, Nan and Jim Branch of Lyons; two sons, George Jarriel and Lester Jarriel both of Collins; a sister, Neva Long of Vidalia; ten grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 3:00 pm, at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel, with Rev. Roger Branch officiating. Burial will be in the Cedar Creek Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1:30 pm before the funeral service. Pallbearers will be Chris Creech, Jamie Branch, David Jarriel, Willis Walker, John Jarriel and John Branch.
Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
