Larry Lamar Hall

Larry Lamar Hall of Twin City and formerly of Augusta, died Thursday, December 8, 2022, at his residence.

Larry was born in Canoochee, Georgia and was a son of Joe Brown Hall and Bobbie Sanders Hall.  He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in the Berlin Crisis.  Larry was a Grocer and worked in the Grocery Business for most of his life and owned and operated  Super Market  Research Company in Augusta.  He helped build New Life Baptist Church in Augusta where he served as a deacon and member.  In the mid 1990’s, Larry retired from his work as a grocer and went to work with Elliott and Sons Funeral Homes in the Augusta area where he worked alongside his daughter, Teresa.  In 2004, he and Carolyn moved to the Metter/Twin City area.  Larry was currently a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.

Surviving are his wife, Carolyn Lee Hall of Twin City; two sons, Larry Hall, Jr. (Tracey Dohn) of Hephzibah and Joe Hall (Shayla) of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; his daughter, Teresa Gauldin (Hal) of Augusta; a brother, Glen Hall (Ann) of Twin City; and two grandchildren, Baylee Hall Miller (Blake) of Augusta and Ashton Hall of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, December 10, 2022, at 1 o’clock in the afternoon at Pine Grove Baptist Church located at 25137 Portal Highway, Metter, Georgia  30439. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the time of the funeral at the church on Saturday.

Interment will follow in Rosemary Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Robert Hall, Blake Miller, Ashton Hall, Heath James, David Hardin, and Ricky Henderson.

Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel, of Metter is in charge of the arrangements.
