Lamar Lance Holloway, 59, was born January 13, 1964, in Savannah, GA, the first born of Lamar and Pam Holloway. He was welcomed into his eternal home on April 8, 2023.
Lance was a proud graduate of the class of 1982 of Metter High School, where he played both football and baseball. Metter High is also where he met the love of his life, Pam McGowan, who would live for and love him for over 40 years. He designed their forever home during shop class and when they married on June 26, 1982, they moved in and built a life and a family they cherished.
Lance is a fourth-generation carpenter, carrying on the tradition of Holloway Construction. Lance left his mark on Candler County and surrounding areas through his amazing talent as a carpenter and a visionary. He has built homes and businesses that all carry his distinctive flair. He is also one of the driving forces of Holloway Housing, a family business he shares with his parents and siblings. While Lance is well-respected in his community for his talents, he is loved and adored in his home for the man that he is. Lance is, at his core, a family man. He is his children’s biggest supporter, cheerleader, coach, and lead-in to the horse arena. His six grandchildren brought him joy beyond words.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Lamar and Pam Holloway; his loving wife, Pam Holloway; his children, Kaci (Trent) Swygert, Houston (Courtney) Holloway, and Hannah (J.C.) Thompson; his grandchildren, Clay and Grady Holloway, Grace Elaine, Lizzie Bell, and Rebekah Swygert, and Weston Wade Thompson; his brother, Slayde (Marsha) Holloway, his sister, Stacy (Randy) Wiggins; his brother-in-law, Keith (Jodi) McGowan, and his sister-in-law, Tamie (Donnie) Wells; his aunts and uncles, Billy (Linda) Holloway, Brenda Starling, Esther Moore, and Richard Hughes, as well as numerous cousins with whom he created years of memories.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. until 12:45 p.m., Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at Grace Community Church, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 with Pastor Mike Holt officiating. Burial will be private.
