Kenneth "Kenny" Dean Jackson, Sr., 56, of Statesboro died Sunday, November 24, 2013 at his home. He was born in Cusseta, Georgia, the son of the late Harvey Emmit and Sadie Louise Culpepper Jackson. He moved to Statesboro two years ago from Cobbtown. Kenny was a graduate of FJC Technical College and had been employed with City of Jacksonville. He had served in the United States Army and loved to vegetable garden, fish and play guitar. Kenny attended the East Main Street Church of God in Statesboro.
Survivors are a son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Paige Jackson of Statesboro; a daughter, Desiree and Sean DaRoza; a brother, Bubba Jackson; a sister, Cheryl Stacy and a step-granddaughter, Marissa DaRoza all of Jacksonville, Florida.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, 1:00 PM, at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel with Pastor Lelon Jeffers officiating.
