Karleen Garcia of Metter, passed away on Wednesday morning, February 26, 2025, at Memorial Health Center in Savannah.

Karleen worked as a Registered Trauma Nurse for many years. She was a Baptist by faith. She loved nothing more than spending time with her children and grandchildren, who enjoyed her wonderful cooking, particularly her homemade tortillas. She also loved her little dog, “B”, as well as her “adopted” children in her community. She was described as a loving, stubborn, and big-hearted person. She will be dearly missed.

Karleen was preceded in death by her husband, Guadalupe Garcia Jr.

Those who will cherish her memory include her mother, Kathy Hamblen; Daughters, Mary Garcia, Jessica Garcia, and Brenda Garcia; Brother, Cliff Hamblen; Sister, Lynda Hamblen; son-in-law, Darron Jones; and daughter-in-law, Kaitlan Baker.
