Karen Humphrey

Karen Marie Humphrey, 74, of Cobbtown, Georgia passed away May 11, 2022 due to a brief illness. Karen was born in Baltimore, Maryland on December 16, 1947 to Arlene and George Humphrey.  She went on to be a full time teacher. Over her career, she taught almost everything including Elementary, High School, Special Education, and Alternative School. Karen was a hard worker with a green thumb who lived a very selfless life. She was well known for helping others, feeding all the neighborhood pets, and having “just the right thing” laying around for any project.

Karen was preceded in death by mother Arlene Humphrey, father George Humphrey, and sister Diane Humphrey.

Karen is survived by one son, Jason Humphrey, daughter-in-law, Stephanie Humphrey, brother Danny Humphrey, niece Lacey Humphrey, nephew Britt (Alyssa) Humphrey, great-niece and best pal, Annalise Haven Lanier, and special dog friend, Hattie.

Visitation will be held at Kennedy Funeral Home, Cobbtown Chapel, on Saturday, May 14, 2022 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Funeral Services to follow at 12:30 p.m. No graveside services will be held.
