Judy Ray Herndon, 71, passed away Friday October 7, 2022 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah.

She was the daughter of V.R. and Ronie Williams Hadden.  She worked in the Civil department with the United States Government.  She enjoyed traveling especially in the R.V. and gardening.  Her favorite time was time spent with her children and grandchildren.  She is of the Baptist faith.  She is preceded in death by her parents.

Surviving are her husband of fifty-two years, Tony Herndon; sons, Charles A. “Chuck” Jr. Herndon (Heather), John D. Herndon (Anna); daughters, Lora Herndon, Gena Long (Shane); nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren; brother, Virgil Hadden (Cindy); sisters, Linda Crosby (Guy), Lisa Wilson (Eddie); several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Monday, October 10, 2022 from 5-7 p.m. at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at 11 o’clock in the morning at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel with Paul Moore officiating.

Interment will be at Williams Cemetery.

Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
