Johnny Ray "Johnny Be Good" Mcclung

Johnny Ray “Johnny Be Good” McClung, 55, of Cobbtown, died Saturday, February 29, 2020 in Bainbridge, Georgia.

Mr. McClung was born in Limestone County, Alabama and lived in Cobbtown for most of his life.  He was a landscape contractor, having owned his own business.  He was of the Church of God faith and was a God-Fearing Man.  He loved the river and he loved his family.  Johnny was preceded in death by a son, Preston Strickland.

Surviving are his children, Jonathan McClung of Cobbtown, Jennifer Martin of Reidsville, Joshua McClung of Vidalia, Jacey McClung of Vidalia, Jaxon MCClung of Claxton, and Nickel and Dime; his mother and step-father, Bertie Joe and Robert Parrish of Lyons; his sister, Sherry Willis of Vidalia; eight grandchildren; and a nephew Derek Rewis of Vidalia.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Tuesday March 3, 2020 at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel, of Cobbtown.

The funeral will be held 11 o’clock in the morning on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel, of Cobbtown.
