Johnny Ray McCullough, 66, of Cobbtown died Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at Community Hospice in Vidalia. Born in Collins, Georgia, the son of Lonnie and Hazel Jones McCullough, he was a 1967 Metter High School graduate. Being a granddaddy was his greatest pleasure. Johnny was a retired nuclear power consultant. After retirement, he managed the family cattle farm and custom hay baling operation. He was a deacon at Mt. Zion Baptist Church and a teacher of the Men’s Sunday School Class.

Johnny was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, J. D. and Eddie Dean McCullough.

Survivors are his wife, Margaret Moseley McCullough of Cobbtown; a son and daughter-in-law, Robby and Melanie McCullough of Cobbtown; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Jamie Bowen of Sanford, NC, Carla and John Collins of Metter; a brother, Glenn (Teresa) McCullough of Macon; two sisters, Linda (Eddie) Kennedy of Collins and Patricia (Larry) Beasley of Metter; ten grandchildren, nieces and nephews and his Moseley family.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, 3:00 pm, at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel, with Rev. Larry Hightower and Rev. Walter Leverett officiating. Burial will be in the Sunlight Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, 6-8 pm in the Cobbtown Chapel. Pallbearers will be Bo Haley, John Kennedy, Andy White, Rocky Chitty, Pat Lariscey, Ricky Sikes, Paul Thompson and Daryl Hill. Honorary pallbearers will be the Mt.
