Johnny Biggers

December 29, 1951 — July 26, 2017

Johnny Hilton Biggers, 65, of Metter and husband of Betty Calhoun Biggers died late Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Memorial University Medical Center.

Born in Hawkinsville, Georgia, he was a son of George Milton Biggers and Memory Leila Fowler Biggers. Mr. Biggers was a retired farmer as well as a Truck Driver for over thirty-three years.  He was a member of Rock Worship Center.  He had a love for his family and loved spending time with his grandchildren.  Mr. Biggers had an interest in tractors and anything to do with farming.  He loved watching western movies and listening to southern gospel music.  He especially loved his 2015 4x4 Chevrolet truck that he literally kissed goodbye when he traded it for his wife’s new Equinox.

Surviving are his wife of forty-three years, Betty Calhoun Biggers; two daughters Jody Biggers Rush and Kelly Carter both of Metter; his son, Jonathan Hilton Biggers of Metter; two sisters, Debra Wilson of Yulee, Florida and Judy Woods of Vidalia; three brothers, Ricky Biggers, Robert Biggers, and Roy Biggers all of Metter; six grandchildren, C.J. Padgett, Bethany Rush, Haley Aldrich, Caylin Andrews, Destany Carter, and Madison Biggers; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday from 5 until 8 p.m. at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel

The funeral will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel.

Interment will be in Lake Cemetery.
