John Eugene Brown

John Eugene Brown, of Guyton, passed away Friday afternoon on May 12, 2023, at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah.

Born in Jacksonville, Florida, John was a son of Lester Eugene Brown and Grace Jarrell Brown. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served in the United States Air Force. John was a recipient of the National Defense Service Medal and The Air Force Good Conduct Medal during his time in the service. He retired from United Distributing and was of the Baptist faith. He loved to hunt, fish and being out on the boat. John was a family man who always put his family first.

Surviving are his sons, Joseph Brown (Ashley) of Savannah, Jonathan (Jayme) Brown of Ellabell, Jeffrey Brown of Ellabell; his brother, Jerry (Cleone) Brown; his sister, Janice (Lewis) Newsome; many grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and his companion, Marie Neidlinger.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, from 11 am until 12 noon at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel, of Cobbtown.

The funeral will be held at 12 noon on May 16, 2023, at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel, of Cobbtown.

Interment will follow in Little Flock Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery where he will be laid to rest beside his mother.
