Jewel Green Morris, 86, of Cobbtown died Monday, August 31, 2015 at Candler County Hospital. Born and reared in the Evergreen Community, she was the daughter of Daniel Preston and Nancy Ann E. Sapp Green, and was the last survivor of their eleven children. Her family and doing for others always came first in her life. She was a member of the Cobbtown Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Morris.
Survivors are two daughters and sons-in-law, Lila and Eddie Williams of Metter and Connie and Donny Sisson of Cobbtown; four grandchildren, Nancy (Don) Cowart of Collins, Wendy (Steve) West of Cobbtown, Eddie (Beverly) Williams of Metter and Brad (Mary) Martin of Statesboro; two step-grandchildren, Tiffany (Robert) Johnson of Cobbtown and Ben (Erica) Sisson of Jesup; nine great grandchildren and a great-great granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 11:00 am, at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel, with Rev. Raymond Trent officiating. Burial will be in the Sunlight Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, 6-8 pm, at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Eddie Williams, Sr., Donny Sisson, Eddie Williams, Jr., Brad Martin, Don Cowart and Steve West.
