Jerry Eugene Craft

Jerry Eugene Craft, of Cobbtown and husband  of Linda Sikes Craft, passed away at the age of 82 on September 17, 2023.  Jerry was born in Uvalda, Georgia on December 25, 1940. He was a member of the Gideon Sunday School class at Metter First Baptist Church. He has served as deacon for several local churches over the years.

Jerry graduated from Lyons High School in 1958. He loved gardening, he loved his Lord and Savior, loved giving out candy to children and people at church. Most of all he loved his life companion, dearest friend, his soul mate and wife Linda.  Jerry was a retired peace officer having worked in law enforcement with the State of Georgia for many years.

Jerry is the son of Jack Craft and Erma Louise Church.  Surviving are his wife and love of his life Linda Craft; his daughter Lisa Craft (Roy), two sons, Chris Holloway (Melanie) and Craig Holloway (Julie); a brother Tommy Craft (Sharon); a sister Linda Jones; half brothers Billy Merritt (Brenda), Taylor Merritt, and Glenn Church (Lori); and half sister Sharon Puckett; 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.

The graveside service will be held Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at 11 am at Sunlight Cemetery in Cobbtown with the Reverend Tom Osborne officiating.

The family will receive friends in the social hall of Metter First Baptist Church following the service.
